Ninety-five percent of people who go on a diet will regain the weight they’ve lost within one to five years. I am committed to ensuring that my clients are not part of that statistic. The Food Coach® mission is to guide you towards a way of eating and nourishing yourself that you can practice for the rest of your life.
If you are tired of being out of control, if you want to create a healthy relationship with food and your body, if you are determined to get past the emotional and stress eating, then you have to go beyond standard diets and exercise regimens. You need a balanced approach that includes both biology and behaviour.

Talk with me. I’ve been where you are. During the mid-eighties, in three months, I lost the extra twenty pounds that I had carried since my early teens using the principles that I share with my clients. I have sustained my ideal weight since then by weaving the tools and techniques that are most powerful for me into my daily life. I have also honed my profession over the years by continually developing my clinical and coaching skills to bring a unique blend of science and art, biology and behaviour, to losing weight sustainably.
Here’s the stuff you need to know about how it works:
We’re not just talking nutrition. I’m going to coach you to feel nourished on every level. I learned from my own process and know from coaching hundreds of people that we have to feel good if we want to lighten up. Feeling good means diving into all of the parts of your well-being. Together we will shift you in six areas - food, movement, rest, mind, emotion, soul. I call them the 6 Paths to Nourishment. It is the only way to create sustainability.
We begin with a 2-hour Foundation Session and follow with 30 minute phone or Zoom video sessions, one per week, four per month. (These can be adjusted to account for time away and your personal needs.)
The coaching relationship is completely non-judgmental, unconditionally supportive, relaxed and always focused on moving you towards your weekly and long-term goals. There is more than a bit of magic that happens in this process. Clients who do the work are always transformed from the inside out.
I offer 3, 6 and 12 month programs. Even if you decide to commit to a 3-month program, I always say to my clients to ‘think one year’. Three months will give you the clarity that you are on the right path. However you have spent years, decades even, establishing habits that don’t serve your health nor your weight. It will take more than three months to engrain new healthy patterns that will keep you on the path for rest of your life. Twelve months allows you to relax into the process, deepen your self-knowledge and strengthen your positive patterns.
